Message from the Mayor

We are in the thick of road work season. Cranford has a large number of paving, drainage, and utility projects underway. Unfortunately, this is adding to local traffic and delays, particularly in areas where several projects are happening at the same time. I spoke with Engineering this morning about how we can do a better job spacing out nearby projects so we don't have significant disruptions, particularly around school drop off in the morning. Engineering will coordinate with our Police Department to ensure alternative routes are available when road work is taking place.

The good news when the work is done, a number of our roads will be in much better shape. Cranford underinvested in our basic infrastructure for a long time, and there is a lot of catch up to do. If you know a street that needs repaving or more serious work, please email it to [email protected]. We will add it to the list for evaluation in next year's capital budget.

Best,

Brian Andrews

Mayor
