Message from the Mayor

We held our first Cranford Public Library expansion and renovation planning meeting this month. This is a collaborative effort including Library Trustees and staff, the Friends of the Cranford Public Library, and the Township. We are excited to move quickly to make the project a reality and we are considering additional improvements within our current budget.

Our current plan is for work to begin Spring 2024. During construction, the Children's Room will move to a new temporary location, which we are working to identify now. When work is completed, we plan to have a much larger, state-of-the-art Children's Room, renovated entry area, and refreshed library throughout (new carpet, paint, and repairs). We are also working with PSE&G on installation of energy efficient systems that will be greener and a savings to Cranford taxpayers.

Best,

Brian Andrews

Mayor
