The Village is responsible for plowing most residential areas and side streets, except for those managed by some local homeowners associations. The main streets running through Roselle (Lake St., Gary Ave., Irving Park Rd., Roselle Rd., and Nerge Rd.) are handled by other agencies. Visit www.roselle.il.us/SnowPlow to report streets in need of plowing or salt, plow damage to the right of way, or mailbox damage.

DuPage County Stormwater Management Accepting Input on Water Quality Program
Your feedback can shape the future of water in DuPage County! DuPage County Stormwater Management is accepting input on the program through February 17, 2026. Comments may be submitted on the DuPage County website or by email to water.quality@dupagecounty.gov.
The Countywide Water Quality Program includes a partnership of DuPage County and 41 municipalities and townships working together to meet water quality goals. For questions or issues, please contact DuPage County Stormwater Management at (630) 407-6673.

Roselle Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire on Lawrence Ave.
The Roselle Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of E. Lawrence Ave. in Roselle in the evening of Monday, February 2. Firefighters found a fire in a kitchen of a unit in a 5-story multi-family building. The fire was contained to one unit after firefighters utilized the building’s standpipe system to attach their hoselines for the fire attack. No injuries were reported on scene and only one unit was left uninhabitable. The residents activated the building’s fire alarm system to notify the fire department and residents of the building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Roselle Fire Department. Roselle was assisted by the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District, Glenside Fire Protection District, Hanover Park Fire Department, Itasca Fire Protection District, Roselle Police Department, Roselle Emergency Management Agency, and Du-Comm.

Citizen Police Academy
The Roselle Police Department is currently accepting applications for its 2026 Citizen’s Police Academy! This 11-week program is scheduled to begin March 12, meeting on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 9:30p.m. through May 21. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, live or work in the Village of Roselle, and be subject to a background check. Visit our website to learn more and apply.

The Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal reports that hundreds of Illinois residents are treated in emergency rooms each year for carbon monoxide (CO) exposure, with incidents increasing annually.
In recent weeks, the Roselle Fire Department has responded to an increased number of CO related calls. Below are simple safety tips to help keep you safe during the winter months:
- Install carbon monoxide alarms on every level of your home and near sleeping areas
- Never use generators, propane heaters, or grills inside homes, garages, or near windows and doors.
- Never run vehicles inside garages, even with the door open.
- Ask a professional to inspect and maintain all fuel-burning appliances.

AARP Smart Driver Course: March 4 & 5 | |
The Roselle Police Department, in cooperation with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), hosts Smart Driver Courses. This program is a two-day course and is open to all drivers. The class meets from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on each day. Participants will refine existing driving skills and develop safe, defensive driving techniques.
The next Smart Driver course will be held March 4 & 5. Cost is $20 for AARP members or $25 for non-members. Visit our website to learn more and download a registration form.

Lake Park High School Wins Back-to-Back IHSA State Championshipslancettes in Competitive Dance
The Lancettes Competitive Dance team captured the 2026 IHSA State Championship in Class 3A Saturday at the State Finals in Bloomington, IL. This is the program's 5th IHSA State crown and marks the second time they have been back to back State Champs (2026-2025 and 2023-2022). The program has established a dynasty in the sport of competitive dance in Illinois having now qualified for state every year of IHSA State competition (14 years straight) and during that time winning 5 state titles, bringing home 9 state trophies overall, and 8 IHSA Sectional championships!
The Lancettes are coached by 3 Lancettes for Life: Head Coach Francesca Leone, and Assistants Lauren O'Brien and Cassie Spear.

Lake Park High School's Film Appreciation Society announces its next screening on Wednesday, February 11, at 6:00 p.m. In celebration of Valentine's Day, the theme is Classic Hollywood Couples, and the film that won the previous audience vote is The Big Sleep, featuring "Bogie & Bacall" in their second onscreen pairing. The free event will be held in the Lake Park High School West Campus Auditorium, located at 500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Roselle. Run time for the film is 1 hour, 54 minutes.
Director Howard Hawks brings Raymond Chandler's 1939 pulp fiction novel to life with the talents of none other than William Faulkner as a primary screenplay writer. This 1946 film noir gem stars Humphrey Bogart as hard-boiled detective Philip Marlowe, hired by invalid millionaire General Sternwood (played by Charles Waldron) because Sternwood is supposedly being blackmailed by a book dealer named A.G. Geiger (played by Theodore von Eltz). Lauren Bacall stars as Sternwood's eldest daughter, Vivian Rutledge, who has some suspicions about Marlowe's investigatory focus. Intrigue ensues, Bacall seduces, and Bogie pursues!
Community film buffs are invited to attend the cinematic presentation and stay for an in-depth panel discussion regarding the background and history of the featured film. Patrons will also be able to preview and vote for film selections for the next Lake Park Film Appreciation Society presentation.
The Lake Park Film Appreciation Society aims to engage the community in the presentation, exploration, interpretation, and critical discussion of classic cinema.

Dust off your lederhosen and mark your calendars! The Roselle Sister Cities Association German Committee is thrilled to invite you to the milestone 5th Annual Bockfest on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Pollyanna Brewing Company in Roselle, IL.
The festivities kick off at 12:00 PM with the high-energy Bockfest Parade, starting at Kemmerling Park and marching to Pollyanna Brewing Company. Once the parade arrives, the party really starts! We’ll have a day packed with authentic German heritage, including:

For the Adults: Pollyanna’s signature Bock beer, live German music, and the legendary Stein Holding competition.
