Wadsworth Road Projects Update-

- The new frontage road access to the Wadsworth Crossing property (NE corner of Wadsworth Road and US HWY 41) will open today (July 31).  Please note that when this frontage road opens, the existing southern access to the property will permanently close.

- Eastbound Wadsworth Road traffic travel lanes, east of US HWY 41, will open for traffic sometime during the day on Monday, August 3.  

- Construction of the new roundabout at the intersection of Wadsworth Road and Dilleys Road will commence on Tuesday, August 4.  This intersection will close to all traffic on this day for a period of ninety (90) days.  Please click HERE to view the detour plan.

Mt. Rest Cemetery-
Mt. Rest Cemetery, located in the northwest corner of our Village, dates back to the mid-1840's and contains grave sites of those who have recently passed along with early residents of Newport Township, including war veterans.  Mt. Rest is pursuing a restoration project to preserve grave stones that are in need of repair; donations are needed to help fund this effort.  To learn more about the cemetery and the restoration project, please click HERE and the link below.

Wadsworth Area Pageant- 
 
Registration for the 2020 Wadsworth Area Pageant is NOW OPEN!

Click this  LINK to access the registration documents; entry deadline is September 5, 2020.

A "Get to Know You" meeting will be held on Sunday, August 30 from 3-4 p.m. at the  Shanty in Wadsworth.

Pageant rehearsal as well as the pageant itself will take place on Sunday, September 13, also at the Shanty.

Love's Wadsworth-

Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores recently opened up a new facility in the northwest corner of our Village.  The site is approximately 11 acres and contains fueling stations for both trucks and passenger vehicles.  The main building contains a convenience store offering food, drinks and general merchandise; the sale of vehicle/truck items; and, an Arby's restaurant.  A secondary building is also on the property that services and sells tires for trucks (this building will open for sales in the very near future).  The site is located at the intersection of Russell  Road and Skokie Highway (Old US HWY 41), just west of I-94 near the State Line.  Please be sure to stop by to check out this new addition to our Village!
 





2020 Census-

Starting in early August, the United States Census Bureau will begin efforts to follow-up with households that have not responded to the Census.  These efforts will include in-person and door-to-door interviews.

If you have not responded to the Census, you can respond online at my2020census.gov.  You may also mail back your census form or you may participate by phone at 844-330-2020 (English) or 844-468-2020 (Spanish).
