Tribute to Entrepreneurs is an annual fundraising event hosted by the Downtown Windsor Business Accelerator.  All funds raised from this event go to assist the Accelerator with offering a facility and programs for new and emerging businesses.


Work for the Best. Boss. Ever.

Delivered by the Small Business Centre, Summer Company is the Government of Ontario's flagship youth entrepreneurship program. It provides enterprising young people, aged 15 to 29, with the opportunity to start and run their own summer businesses. If you are accepted into the program, you will receive an award of up to $3,000, hands-on business coaching, and mentoring from local community business leaders who will work with you to make your Summer Company a reality.

How To Apply:
1. Check to see if you are eligible for the program at www.ontario.ca/summercompany.
2. Complete the online application inquiry.
3. Assign yourself a password.
4. Contact the WindsorEssex Small Business Centre for help with your application. Your application includes a business plan and a cash flow statement.
5. Submit your application online to the Small Business Centre.

Applying to Summer Company is a competitive process. Space is limited, and the program reaches capacity quickly, so APPLY EARLY.

Delivered by the Small Business Centre,  Starter Company  is an Ontario government program that provides young people with the resources and knowledge they need to start and grow their own business.

Applications Open for 2015 Spin Master Innovation Fund!

Futurpreneur Canada and Spin Master Ltd are looking for young innovators to apply for the 2015 Spin Master Innovation Fund. What is an innovative business? The Spin Master Innovation Fund is open to young entrepreneurs who are eager to disrupt their industry and change the game!

Applications open May 1 and will be accepted until June 19, 2015. The fund will support up to 10 innovative start-ups, and each recipient will receive:
  • Up to $50,000 in financing;
  • two years of business mentoring;
  • two exclusive innovation workshops; and
  • expert advice from Spin Master executives.

The Libro Prosperity Fund

Libro Credit Union is thrilled to launch the Libro Prosperity Fund, Libro's granting program, which will invest approximately $500,000 in 2015 to support local organizations that are growing prosperity in southwestern Ontario.

The Prosperity Fund is one of the components in the movement that is the Prosperity Project, which encompasses all that Libro does to grow prosperity across southwestern Ontario. It's about investing in people, neighbourhoods and enterprises. If Libro can help their Owners achieve their dreams of prosperity, Libro can inspire financial happiness for our communities, the entire region and beyond.

Libro will review applications and grant funds through the annual granting program once per calendar year.
