Vick Danayan is a 4th generation watch maker, who worked in the family business for as long as he can remember. In 2006 he launched his own store at Devonshire Mall called GoldenTime Watch and Jewelry Repair, and for nearly a decade has offered, "each and every one of [his] customers the very best in timeless value, selection and service without ever compromising on quality." Is there a vintage clothing store or main street coffee shop in your future, or perhaps a social media development company or renovation business? If you've got a great idea for a business - and the entrepreneurial drive to see it through - Starter Company is here to help you start your company.

Starter Company is an Ontario government program that provides young people with the resources and knowledge they need to start and grow their own business.

You can apply to the Starter Company program if you're an Ontario resident aged 18 to 29 and not attending school full time. To qualify for funding of up to $5,000 you need to be able to contribute to at least 25 per cent (in cash or in kind) of the grant amount.

Applying for Starter Company is a competitive process. Space is limited and applicants will be admitted into the training and mentoring portion on a first come, first serve basis. To reserve your spot - apply early!  [Learn more.]

For the lunchtime crowd, check out Chatham Street Deli. This narrow and bright eatery specializes in sandwiches, including Chicago-style Italian beef, sliced extra-thin and piled onto a fresh bun au jus and spicy preserved vegetables known as 'giardiniera' in Italian.
