Borrego Open Smashing Success To Benefit the Children

With temperatures in the 80’s and a nice relaxing breeze, Borrego knew we were in for some terrific weather and that is just what we needed for the

weekend of April 12-13. At 8:00 AM on Saturday morning the Borrego Open golf tournament began at the Roadrunner Club, and it was a site to behold.

Golfers from as far as Hawaii came to play with just one goal in mind. That goal was to play golf, have a wonderful time, and support the Borrego

Springs Children’s Center, which is exactly what happened.

Thanks to these wonderful people the Children’s Center received a donation of $7,000.00. We also received crayons, markers, paper goods, band-aids, and other necessary items.



We are so grateful to all the members that come and play this historic tournament that has been going for more than 50 years. This wonderful

group continues to support us every year, and we are so thankful to all of

you.

Many thanks also to the Roadrunner Club for hosting this important fundraiser. We look forward to seeing everyone back in Borrego next year!
