Mindfulness Matters
Mindfulness-based practices are being increasingly utilized in various aspects of cancer symptom management, showing great promise as it continues to be explored. This month's Lunch & Learn with the LINK will focus on the benefits of mindfulness and meditation for cancer patients. Our speaker, GeAnne Geraghty, from Ascension Providence in Michigan, is a radiation oncology physician assistant with specialized training in yoga and meditation who will educate participants and walk them through a short exercise. GeAnne will be joined by a survivor, Peter Thomason, who will share on a personal level how this practice helped him through his journey. There will also be time for questions.
