The BIA project is now complete!


Following the public consultation held this spring, the bench locations were selected and the benched are now installed.

Over the coming months, the Town of Hawkesbury will be consulting the public to better understand the needs of the community. Coming up :



  • Public consultations on communications
  • Public consultations for the Town's Official Plan
  • Public consultations for the development of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Upcoming Projects for 2025

As in previous years, the Town of Hawkesbury is preparing to invest in and repair several infrastructures in order to continue providing quality quality services to the community. Here are some of the projects planned for this year:


Public Works

  • rehabilitation of Cécile Bridge
  • Repair and replacement of underground infrastructure on Catherine Street
  • Completion of the municipal garage construction.
  • Stonework reinforcement to prevent shoreline erosion on the Chenail Island

Estimated total cost of work : $14,500,000


Environmental Services

  • Modernization of filtration plant equipment
  • Replacement of the generator at the drinking water pumping station
  • Modernization of the water distribution system

Estimated total cost of work : $9,500,000*


Municipal Facilities Services

  • Roof repairs at the Sports Complex and Fire Station
  • Installation of new structures at Old Mill Park
  • Installations of new boards at the arena
  • Improvements to the arena locker rooms

Estimated total cost of work : $2,515,000*


*Some of the projects have received funding from the provincial and federal governments

Closure of Town Hall and the Sports Complex Pool


Please note that Town Hall will be closed on Monday, August 4 due to the Civic Holiday. However, all activities at the Sports Complex will remain open to everyone.


The pool will be closed from August 20 to September 5 for annual maintenance.
