The 2023 National Philanthropy Day was an event to remember, held at the picturesque La Lomita Ranch. The day was filled with inspiration and heartfelt moments, thanks to our keynote speaker, Wendy McKinney, author of “Busy Doing What?” Her words during the special luncheon keynote were enlightening and impactful, inspiring each attendee to contribute further to their communities.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the individuals and organizations who have shown an unwavering commitment to supporting the non-profits of SLO County. Our award winners genuinely embody the spirit of philanthropy - Philanthropist of the Year, Debbie Collins Johnson; Business Philanthropist of the Year, Idler’s Home; The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County, who received the Milestone in Philanthropy Award; and Bob and Debbie Wacker, recipients of the President’s Award. Their contributions have made a significant difference in our community, and we look forward to what the future holds with such dedicated supporters leading the way.
