Hello Neighbor!
Well, this is it! The local city and county elections are happening TOMORROW! Are you feeling frustrated with the recent national elections? Here is a chance to make a difference on a local level where it really counts! Highland Park straddles two council districts, CD1 and CD14. Gil Cedillo’s seat on CD1 is up for grabs, and there are some critically important measures on the ballot as well. Do you feel Mr. Cedillo has been doing a good job addressing your needs from the city? Here is your chance to help decide whether we will hire him for another term. You can read on to find resources and information on the candidates running for city council.
We also have a meeting with our exciting new Culture and Equality committee this week, as well as the regular busy calendar of different events and opportunities to get involved with, and become enriched by your community. We’ll see you at the polls tomorrow, and out in the neighborhood soon!
Power to the People! Harvey Slater Your HHPNC President
