...that the iconic Finnish brand Marimekko is celebrating its 70th anniversary?
The design house was founded in 1951 by Armi Ratia, who introduced a simple dress in a bold pattern and was an immediate success.
Marimekko, which means "little dress for Mary," is on a mission "to bring color and joy into lives and homes everywhere and encourage people to be happy as they are."
In 70 years, Marimekko talent has created 3,500 designs, which have been used on clothing, textiles and household items.
In celebration of the 70th anniversary, Marimekko created a virtual party that's available online.
