Kid's Halloween Extravaganza

Calling all superheroes, villains, ghosts, and goblins! Downtown Olympia is the place to be this Halloween. On October 31, gather your little ones for an adventure filled with treats, surprises, and plenty of Halloween spirit!


What to Expect:


Week-Long Scavenger Hunt: Kick off the festivities early with a thrilling scavenger hunt at participating downtown businesses from Friday, October 25, to Wednesday, October 31! Grab your passport at loveolydowntown.com or participating businesses and explore for a chance to win:


  • Visit 20 businesses for two chances to win including a shot at the grand prize—curated packages from local favorites! The grand prize includes close to $1,000 worth of gifts from local businesses!
  • Visit at least 10 businesses to enter the regular drawing. There will be eight winners for the regular drawing. Each gift bag includes close to $250 in gifts from local businesses! Click here for the list of participating businesses and a map to get started! The drawing for the raffles begins at 6 pm at the Halloween Block Party!


Halloween Block Party: On October 31, from 4-7 PM, join the fun on Washington Street (between Legion and 5th). Enjoy a DJ, dancing, a raffle from the scavenger hunt, a free Captain Little photo booth, Lolli Llama Candy surprises, and more!


Safe, Family-Friendly Trick-or-Treating: Visit downtown shops offering treats from 4-7 PM on Halloween. For a list of participating merchants visit loveolydowntown.com.

> De-mystifying the processes and metrics that industry professionals use when signing and booking bands.

> Marketing, fan and community building 101.

> What are music festivals/venues/booking agents and more looking for in bands?

WinterFest Holiday Makers Market Seeking Vendors

Applications are now open for LoveOly Winterfest Maker's Market in downtown Olympia. This one-day event is a great way to kick-off the holiday market season!



The cost to vend at the festival is $150.00. Applications close October 31st and the event is already more than half full.

Heidi Schreck’s boundary-breaking play breathes new life into our Constitution and imagines how it will shape the next generation of Americans. Fifteen-year-old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning Constitutional debate competitions across the United States. In this hilarious, hopeful and achingly human new play, she resurrects her teenage self in order to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives.

Salmon Experience at Bayshore Preserve

Join Capitol Land Trust (CLT) and Puget Sound Estuarium to witness one of nature’s most extraordinary displays of migration and resilience. Every fall thousands of chum salmon return from the Pacific Ocean to Johns Creek at our Bayshore Preserve where their lives began. Here they spawn, marking the transition of one generation of salmon to the next.

Voter Assistance @ Your Library

November 1, 2024 to November 5, 2024


You can still register to vote in-person at the Library all the way up until 8pm. onElection Day, Tuesday, November 5! On that day, we'll be open for special hours, 8am to 8pm, and can also help you print your ballot. Our ballot drop box will be installed on Friday, November 1.
