Saturday Night Out

Eagle Waters Resort

August 27, 2022

Eagle Waters Resort located in Eagle River, WI was Eagle River’s first settlement originally occupied by fur traders, woodsmen, and loggers.

In the mid-1800s, the property consisted of a trading post, bank, and the first regional post office. The first presidential votes for Lincoln were cast on this very property.

The area was given the Indian name “Kee-Mi-Con” which when translated means, “I have found it.” Once you experience our spectacular sunsets and eagles in flight, you will understand the concept of “Kee-Mi-Con” and how we believe it to be our own piece of paradise.

As the years passed, the property evolved into Eagle Waters Resort where many families have enjoyed the “good-life” year after year. We have served many memorable meals and hosted some galas folks still talk about today. The past traditions called for a tree to be planted for each couple married at the resort. Many families still return to visit their trees and reminisce.

Today Eagle Waters is a four-season historical resort offering an array of amenities as well as 24 Kee-Mi-Con Lodging units, all of which include full kitchens, washer/dryer, gas fireplace, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, phones, and lake views; 1-, 2-, 3- & 5-bedroom cabins (duplexes) and 6 fourplex units.

Eagle Waters provides an environment to enjoy the awe of life’s simple pleasures… observing the stars, listening for loons, watching the sunset, playing checkers, casting for fish, roasting marshmallows, eating a fish fry, and even falling in love. Eagle Waters, it’s not just a place, it’s an experience!

(Information came from the Eagle Waters website)

Cheryl Storms was unable to contact Laura Koranda (owner) for an update due to an illness in the family. The information she had was from 2016 and needs to be updated so she relied on the Eagle Waters website.

This is one of the oldest and most beautiful places to visit for good food and drinks. We might still have good weather so we can eat outside otherwise the dining room is always welcoming.

Please join us again for such good conversation with so many great people!
