Bookstores supporting one another
Blue House Books in Kenosha, WI tipped us off to what might be an emerging trend in a recent Facebook post.

"We are so excited to jump in on this trend started by our bookselling friends at Bettie's Pages. On Wednesdays, we support indie bookstores.

I’m going to start building up my indie bookstore wardrobe and feature a fellow bookshop every Wednesday. This week: Read Between The Lynes in Woodstock, Illinois!"

What we're reading
"I'm returning to The Yellow House by Sarah M. Broom, which has been sitting in my TBR for since it became a National Book Award Finalist. I'm in the middle of a big renovation of the kitchen in my own yellow house, which was built in 1905, so I'm enjoying thinking about the history of the spaces we live in and the lives of the people who inhabited them." —Carrie
"How to Mars is my perfect summer read—weird, quirky, hilarious, unsettling, and totally human. Five people are sent to Mars for a reality TV series. What unfolds are the most universal of human experiences, as experienced on Mars. I’m loving this book and rooting for these characters despite (because of?) their hang-ups, psychoses, and general human-ness." —Kate
