Since February, the Arrowhead Builders Association has hosted the weekly broadcast of speaking of Homes on WDSM Radio (710 AM/96.1 FM or podcasts online) The show is called Speaking of Homes. Erick Filby of Marvin Windows and myself, Chelle Eliason, ABA Executive Officer host the show.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore takes in usable building material and home improvement item donations and resells back to the public at a substantial discount.
The ReStore helps local businesses and residents by removing gently used items like cabinets, building materials, and appliances utilizing our 30 foot box truck and pick-up service.
We can save contractors dumpster fees by picking up these materials directly from your worksite. If your workshop has gathered bits and pieces over the years we can help you recover your expensive workspace by removing saleable items you no longer use.
All ReStore profits go directly to Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity and our build program.

Tax Reform Toolkit: Changes to the Business Interest Deduction
The business interest deduction has been a staple of the tax code for over a century. Deducting interest is important in home building, as debt is a critical financing tool and access to equity markets is challenging for the majority of home builders.
The new tax law alters the business interest deduction (BID) by placing a cap on the amount of interest a taxpayer may deduct. That's the bad news. The good news is that an exception was made for real estate businesses.
