Uva uvam videndo varia fit"
These words are spoken by Gus when talking to his good friend in the book Lonesome Dove. The funny thing about it is that people argue over what it means all the time. Most people believe that it means that grapes change colors when it sees other grapes or grapes ripen when in the presence of other grapes.
I feel that this applies to our students in every way. Whether you view it as iron sharpening iron or us strengthening each other, our students affect each other for the better and they truly ripen each other and friends with their actions and words.
"Uva Uvam Videndo varia". Ripen and change colors, stretch and grow, but in all things, rejoice in the chance to be better than you were the day before.
