NCTOH 2025

The National Conference on Tobacco or Health is just around the corner (August 26-28) and Wisconsin will be well represented in the Windy City. Here's a quick reference guide of CTPTP partners and staff who are sharing their work in NCTOH poster presentations, panel discussions, and combined sessions. In the September issue of News to Use, we’ll share additional presentation details and resources from the conference.

Tobacco 21 Resources

To support continued Tobacco 21 outreach – and help address ongoing confusion among retailers, consumers, and law enforcement – here are some new or updated materials to share in your communities.

We will add more social media content and updated print-ready materials (flyers, posters, store signage) following DHS publication review/approval. Please reach out to Tobacco 21 work group co-leads, Liz Adams or Kayleigh Day, with questions or resource requests.

Back to School Resources

As students return to classrooms in your area, please consider reaching out to  district contacts, parents, and other community members.  This is a great opportunity to connect with schools to start or renew relationships with your coalition and/or partner in support of creating tobacco-free schools.

In case you missed the Youth and Young Adult Advisory Committee’s recent Office Hours or would like to review all the resources and notes discussed, the Back to School Resources & Notes document compiled by Kim Larson provides a variety of ideas and tools to help you get started.

Electronic Vaping Device Directory Resources

Questions continue to bubble up around Wis. Stat 995.15, the Electronic Vaping Device Directory managed by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR), and the amendment that was introduced and passed though the budget bill that changed requirements for electronic vaping devices that contain hemp (and no nicotine).

As this policy is overseen by DOR, we are not actively educating on this topic, but here are a few resources to help you stay informed and to share if questions arise.

Please reach out to Liz Adams or Kayleigh day with questions about this policy. For media inquiries focused on the specifics of the vape directory, we recommend directing reporters to the Department of Revenue, or please reach out to CTPTP Communications for additional support, if needed.
