Upcoming Observance Resources

Smoke-Free Air 15th Anniversary

The 15th anniversary of Wisconsin’s Smoke Free Air Law is coming up on July 5. Use these resources to assist with local efforts to recognize this milestone and share the impacts of SFA protections for Wisconsinites. We will continue to add resources to this folder leading up to the anniversary and beyond. In July, we will share additional resources and launch efforts to strengthen local policies to include best practice language. Here is a brief overview of the new and upcoming SFA-focused materials.

Men’s Health Month

June is Men’s Health Month — a time to raise awareness about men's health issues and encourage men to take proactive steps toward their well-being. This observance aims to address the health disparities that men face and promotes preventive care, healthy lifestyles, and early detection of conditions.

Here are some resources about the disparities in men’s use of commercial tobacco and the harms they face:

Pride Month

Sometimes specified as LGBTQ+ Pride Month, June is dedicated to the celebration of LGBTQ pride, commemorating the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer culture and community.

Media Campaign Roundup

  • The remaining paid media campaign flights wrapped up at the end of May and a new youth prevention campaign is anticipated to launch in Fall 2025. Please feel free to continue using these media campaign assets in your earned media efforts. The linked folder includes print and digital content for the Quit Line, Tobacco 21, Tobacco is Changing and Live Vape Free campaigns.
  • The Tobacco is Changing “Know the Products” fact sheet for parents and other caregivers has been updated to include imagery of the latest commercial tobacco products. The revised publication is available for download in English and Spanish.
  • As a reminder, the national CDC Tips From Former Smokers Campaign is still in media markets and free materials to support this campaign are available online.
