The Wilkes County Library building is open to the public.You must cover your nose and mouth with a cloth covering. Non-medical masks, bandanas, or scarves can also be used. We appreciate your cooperation! Contact-free curbside pickup services are also available. Many services are online. Our website and Facebook page have great programs and materials for you to enjoy.

You'll love the StudentAccess Program.

The StudentAccess program allows all Wilkes County public school children to check out books at our Library with their student ID (lunch number).

And the StudentAccess program allows students to check out ebooks from NC Kids Digital Library. Use the Libby App.

For our exciting Story Walk outside, the Library is partnering with Smoot Park to show how being a friend is more fun than playing at being a monster.

The current story at Smoot Park is Mo Willems's Leonardo the Terrible Monster.

Let Bear teach the entire family about the changing seasons. The Library is partnering with W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir to bring you this sweet outdoor story at the Fish Dam Creek Park walking trail.

The Wilkes Mystery Book Club is for people who love true crime, thrillers, and all kinds of mysteries but don't have time to go to book clubs. Copies of each month's selection will be available at the library a month in advance, or you may choose to download the eBook via our Libby app.
