The Wilkes County Public Library building is open to the public.You must cover your nose and mouth with a cloth covering. Non-medical masks, bandanas, or scarves can also be used. We appreciate your cooperation! Contact-free curbside pickup services are also available. Many services are online. Our website and Facebook page have great programs and materials for you to enjoy. We invite all ages to join in the Summer Reading Program. Learn, have fun, and win prizes!

Kids' Summer Reading bags with the reading tracker cards are available for pick up at the library. Every week, there are new Craft and STEM kits for pick up as well.
The Adult Summer Reading BINGO cards and packets are ready for pick up too.

Wednesday Trivia

On Wednesdays, visit crowd.live on any device between 10 am and 10 pm and test your trivia skills on our weekly Summer Reading themes. Get the day's game code on our Facebook page on Wednesday morning. High scorers will win prizes. Weekly themes: July 1 USA, July 8 Monsters, July 15 Pirates, July 22 Superheroes, July 29 Harry Potter

The Wilkes Mystery Book Club is for people who love true crime, thrillers, and mysteries of all kinds but don't have time for face-to-face book club meetings. Copies of each month's selection will be available at the library a month in advance, or you may choose to download the eBook via our Libby app. You can join us for a book discussion virtually in our Goodreads discussion forum, https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1066171-wilkes-mystery-book-club, whenever you have time and no matter what you're wearing!

Due to COVID-19, the Spay/ Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) is not being held at the Library. Contact the Humane Society 336-667-2547 for information.
Friends of the Library
Book Sale Update

Due to COVID-19, the Friends of Wilkes County Public Library are not holding book sales. You may donate books, by putting them in the green metal container at their building behind the Stone Center or by leaving boxes of books at the building's entrance, and please only when it's not raining. If you want to arrange a special drop-off, call 336-667-2547.
