The Female Themed Controversial Movie
That Has Garnered $20M US Domestic In Six
Months Starts Its International Push At AFM
Ashley Bratcher

The subject matter of abortion is very controversial on many different fronts and runs across the fabric of society from religious, cultural, financial, emotional impact on an individual, both men and women, the family and the ultimate question and issue - choice. Unplanned  is the true story of one woman's journey of transformation. Abby Johnson was one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the US, where she was involved in upwards of 22,000 abortions and counseled countless women about their reproductive choices. In most countries worldwide females make up a share of the population between 49 and 51 percent (within one percentage point of parity). What is astounding is that in America where views on religion, sex, color, and culture can be so widely polarized, Unplanned the movie had a US20.Millon take at the domestic box office, and 250,000 DVD’s sold, and 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. Unplanned stars Ashley Bratcher, and is directed by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman, the writers/co-producers of God’s Not Dead which has grossed * $64,667,874 worldwide. After reading Abby Johnson’s best-selling book Unplanned , Cary and Chuck were moved to bring the inspiring true story to the big screen, giving voice to a woman who has been on both sides of the abortion conversation. Unplanned is a drama based on the eye-opening look inside the abortion industry from a woman who was once its most passionate advocate. * source Box Office Mojo
