NOTE - Two of this week's featured pets, Sarge and Slim Pickens, have recently tested positive for heartworms. The Animal Shelter team has begun treatment, but this treatment will need to be sustained by the adopters. Both of these dogs will see better results in a home than in a shelter setting. We sincerely hope special families will come forward for our two precious canine friends.

Sarge is a one-year-old male Labrador Retriever: Hi there, I'm Sarge! I'm a young chap with a heart full of love. I'm a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be best friends. I'm gentle but also curious about the world around me. I love exploring new smells and sounds, but I also enjoy quiet moments of cuddling. I'm playful too, and I can't resist a good game of fetch. I'm looking for a forever home where I can continue to grow and learn. Adopting me means gaining a loyal companion who will bring joy and laughter into your life.

Slim Pickens is a three-year-old male Labrador Retriever: Hello there, I'm Slim Pickens! Life in this shelter is full of fun and games. I'm always eager to play, whether it's a game of fetch or a gentle tug of war. I've got energy to spare, and I love to share it with everyone I meet. My friendly nature makes me a hit with both humans and my fellow canines. I'm a sweet soul who's always up for a cuddle or a friendly pat. I'm as loyal as they come and I promise to bring joy and laughter to your home.

Brisket is a 9-month-old male Terrier: Hi, I’m Brisket! I am young and full of energy, so get ready for many days filled with parks and trails! I am super friendly and will be an easy fit for any family that wants me. Consider me as your newest furry friend.

If your family is ready to add a member, we currently have many adoptable animals in our shelter looking for a new place to call home. Learn more by visiting our Petfinder page or calling (214) 862-4525.
