Kodak Has His Own Family!

We are excited to announce that Kodak has been adopted! He came to us injured more than a year ago and was our guest at the Sunnyvale Animal Shelter for 481 days. That's the longest-tenured dog we've sheltered.

While we loved having him with us, we are thrilled that he now has a home and family of his own.

We have lots of other pets waiting for their forever homes. See our Weekly Pets feature below.

These Pets Are Seeking Their Forever Homes!

Learn more about them and others on our Petfinder page

Freedom is a 2-year-old male Belgian Malinois: Hello, I'm Freedom! I've been at the Sunnyvale Animal Shelter since September 2024, but I'm as friendly as they come, always ready to greet everyone with a wagging tail. I'm brave too, never one to back down from a challenge. My smarts are evident in the way I quickly learn new tricks and commands. I'm energetic, always up for a game of fetch or a long walk. But, don't worry, I also love to relax and enjoy some quiet time. I'm the perfect blend of playful and peaceful, even though I may not do well with others due to past experiences I may have had. So, why should you adopt me? Well, I promise to be your loyal companion, to always make you smile, and to fill your life with love and joy.

Raider is a 4-year-old male Golden Retriever: Hello there, I'm Raider! I, too, have been at the Shelter since September 2024. I've got a heart full of sweetness and a mind as sharp as a tack. I love playing games, especially ones that challenge me. I'm always eager to learn new tricks and show off my smarts. I'm always ready to make new friends. I love to be around people, sharing in their joy and bringing them comfort. Life is a wonderful game for me, and I'm just looking for the perfect teammate to share it with. Adopt me, and let's create a lifetime of happy memories together!

All pets adopted from the Town of Sunnyvale will be vaccinated, dewormed, spayed or neutered and microchipped. If they have not been done, the adopter will receive a voucher to have them done. All fees are waived to adopt any of our pets.

If your family is ready to add a member, we currently have many adoptable animals in our shelter looking for a new place to call home. Learn more by visiting our Petfinder page or calling (214) 862-4525.

Saving Water = Saving Money

Remember, your annual wastewater rates are based on your water consumption during the months of December, January and February, which can save you about $200 each year.

Reducing indoor and outdoor water use this winter will save you money all year round.

For water conservation tips, visit the Water Resources page on the Town's website.
