Check Out the 2025 Water Quality Report

The Town of Sunnyvale’s 2025 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report is now available to read on our website. This report provides important information about your drinking water and the efforts the water system is making to ensure its safety.

To access our report, visit here.

The Department of Public Works and Utilities is responsible for maintaining all drainage, water, wastewater utilities, and street maintenance and construction. This often requires after-hours labor to ensure the health and safety of residents and businesses. In addition, employees of this department are an integral part of the planning process related to future infrastructure.

Town Schedule for the Fourth of July Holiday

Town of Sunnyvale offices, facilities and non-emergency services will be closed Friday, July 3, for the Independence Day Holiday. The Doris Padgett Public Library will be open on Friday, July 3, and closed on Saturday, July 4.

Trash, recycling and bulk waste collections will not be impacted by the holiday schedule.

No Fireworks in the Town of Sunnyvale

An important reminder, as we approach the July 4th Holiday, the use or possession of fireworks is prohibited within the Town of Sunnyvale limits.

Violators will receive citations, and all fireworks will be confiscated. Fireworks of any type can and have resulted in injuries and house fires.

We want everyone to have a safe and happy 250th Fourth of July. Please leave fireworks to the professionals!

Comprehensive Plan Update

More than 50 stakeholders and community members gathered at Town Hall on June 16 for the Comprehensive Plan Core Elements Open House event. Attendees had the opportunity to review the draft Comprehensive Plan's preliminary core elements, ask questions, and engage directly with the project team and Town staff.

The evening yielded insightful feedback, including ideas for future housing, community amenities, and infrastructure priorities.

Following the success of the Open House, the project team and Town staff will dive straight into the next steps of the planning process. During the coming weeks, the team will carefully review community input to incorporate into the draft core elements while also developing the Introduction, Community Profile, and Implementation chapters of the Comprehensive Plan.

The revised Draft Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan will be presented at another open house event and begin the adoption process later this year. Stay tuned to the project website for updates.
