It's time to get your spring cleaning into high gear! Get your bulky items and old documents ready for the Keep Sunnyvale Shining Trash Off on Saturday, April 18 at the SISD Raider Stadium parking lot.
You can bring household bulk waste, including scrap metal. Do NOT bring tires, concrete, chemicals, paint or anything containing refrigerant, gas or oil.
Bring up to four (4) boxes of documents for shredding. Each additional box will cost $10.
Most of the services are free to Sunnyvale residents and $25 for non-residents. Please bring a driver's license or current water bill as proof of residency. Only credit and debit cards will be accepted. NO CASH.

The Town of Sunnyvale is excited to announce that two rising stars in country music will take the stage for the Town’s Sunnyfest Celebration on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
This FREE celebration needs partners to support it. Find out about sponsorship opportunities, including VIP access to our artists and other perks.
Austin, Texas native George Birge will bring his musical style to Sunnyfest, along with Georgia’s own Scoot Teasley, who was a hit with local crowds at last year’s event. Their unique musical talents will be part of a great evening of live music, fireworks, drone show, food and family fun.

Town Facilities Closed for Training
All Town of Sunnyvale offices and facilities will be closed Tuesday, March 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. for staff training.
Emergency services will not be impacted.

Atmos Energy Schedules Maintenance Work
As part of their continued effort to enhance the safety and reliability of the natural gas pipeline system, Atmos Energy plans to conduct routine maintenance in Sunnyvale through Tuesday, May 5.

| | | Charter Amendment Election | | |
Voter Registration Deadline: April 2
Sunnyvale voters will consider a slate of proposed Town Charter amendments on May 2. Many of these updates would bring the Charter into compliance with State law updates, address any legal or administrative issues, and improve the effective application of the Charter to current conditions.
The proposed amendments include the creation of a Parks and Recreation Board and the requirement for a Library Board, which currently exists.
The proposed amendments also include term limits for the Mayor and Town Council members and would change the Mayor's term from two years to three years.
To vote in the May 2 election, voters must be registered by Thursday, April 2, 2026. Early voting will begin on Monday, April 20 and run through Tuesday, April 28.

2025 Annual Report
The Town of Sunnyvale's 2025 Annual Report is on its way to residential mailboxes and is now available on the Town website.
This report features the Town's significant accomplishments in 2025 and looks ahead to goals and projected outcomes for 2026.
The Town Council will premiere the 2025 State of the Town video during its March 23 meeting. It will be posted to the Town website and social channels following that showing.

Library - Temporary Closure Notice
The Doris Padgett Public Library will close temporarily on Tuesday, March 24 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. to allow library staff to attend a Town employee meeting. The library will reopen at 5:30 p.m. and close at its usual time of 7 p.m.

Story Times for children ages two to five and their caregivers are held on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Story times include several books and a fun craft or project to take home!

Vote For Your Favorite Pet Photo
Various Town of Sunnyvale departments recently visited with adoptable pets at the Sunnyvale Animal Shelter and took fun photos with them to raise awareness about adopting shelter pets.
These photos are featured on the Town and Animal Shelter Facebook pages. Please vote for your favorite photo by hitting "Like" or "Love" on the individual photos in the post. Voting is open through Tuesday, March 31. The winning photo will be announced on Wednesday, April 1 - No JOKE!!

Meet Hank, the 1-year-old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier who’s small in stature but massive in heart! 🐾
Hank was found wandering the streets as a stray, but you’d never know it by his sunny personality. He is a total social butterfly who has never met a stranger. While he’s compact enough to be called a "pocket" pup, don't let his size fool you—this boy is exceptionally strong and built like a little tank!
