Community Open House | Tuesday, June 16 | 7 p.m.

The Town of Sunnyvale is excited to update the Town’s comprehensive plan. The Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan will serve as the Town’s official guide for land use and development for the next 20 years.

The Town's next public engagement activity is a Community Open House on Tuesday, June 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Town Hall Council Chambers (127 N Collins Rd). The event will give the community an opportunity to review and provide feedback on any goals and recommendations in the core elements.

The comprehensive plan will address several topics, including land use and development, residential areas, commercial and employment areas, transportation, and community facilities and public infrastructure.

Visit the Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan website for more information about the process so far.

Public Works Week - May 17-21

Join us in celebrating National Public Works Week, held from May 17 – 21, by thanking our Public Works Department for the many crucial services they provide to our community.

Public Works responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • maintaining all drainage, water, and wastewater utilities
  • Street maintenance and construction
  • Planning the future of infrastructure

Many of these tasks often require after-hours labor to ensure the health and safety of residents and businesses.

Don’t forget that Public Works is all around you!

He's the Boss!

Boss is a three-year-old male domestic short hair tabby:

Arriving at our shelter as a shy stray, Boss spent his early days hiding. Today, his true colors shine. He is a total sweetheart who loves human company. Step into his room, and he will immediately rub against your legs, leaning in for pets and begging for your undivided attention. Boss is ready for a new home where he can shower his new family with love. Give us a call to meet him!

We would love for you to share this with others and bring awareness to the Sunnyvale Animal Shelter's animals and services. If your family is ready to welcome a new member, we currently have many adoptable pets in our shelter looking for a loving home. Learn more by visiting our Petfinder page or calling (214) 862-4525.

Sunnyvale Updates Watering Zone Map

To comply with State Water Conservation requirements, Sunnyvale property owners should only use sprinkler systems to water landscaping on their designated days before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m.

The Town has published an updated map illustrating the six watering zones in Sunnyvale and indicating which two weekdays are designated for each zone. Hand watering and drip irrigation are allowed at any time.
