Memorial Day Schedule

Town of Sunnyvale offices will be closed on Monday, May 25 for the Memorial Day holiday.

The Town Council's regular meeting for that date is also canceled.

The Doris Padgett Public Library will observe the holiday on Tuesday, May 26.

Trash, bulky waste and recycling collections will not be impacted by this holiday schedule.

Community Open House Scheduled

Tuesday, June 16 | 7 p.m. | Town Hall

The Town of Sunnyvale is excited to update the Town’s comprehensive plan. The Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan will serve as the Town’s official guide for land use and development for the next 20 years.

The Town's next public engagement activity is a Community Open House on Tuesday, June 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Town Hall Council Chambers (127 N Collins Rd). The event will give the community an opportunity to review and provide feedback on any goals and recommendations in the core elements.

The comprehensive plan will address several topics, including land use and development, residential areas, commercial and employment areas, transportation, and community facilities and public infrastructure.

Visit the Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan website for more information about the process so far.

Help our Sunnyfest Food Drive!

All Sunnyfest attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items in support of Sharing Life. Peanut butter is especially needed!

How 'Bout this Cowboy!

Cowboy is a one-year-old male Mixed Breed:

Cowboy is the ultimate blend of brains, beauty, and loyalty! He was found abandoned but is ready to turn the page and start a brand-new chapter with a family that will love him. This pup is likely an Australian Shepherd-Bernese Mountain Dog, which makes him intelligent and gentle. If you are looking for a loyal sidekick to join you on life's trails, Cowboy is ready to ride off into the sunset with you!

We would love for you to share this with others and bring awareness to the Sunnyvale Animal Shelter's animals and services. If your family is ready to welcome a new member, we currently have many adoptable pets in our shelter looking for a loving home. Learn more by visiting our Petfinder page or calling (214) 862-4525.
