Tuesday, Dec. 3 | 6 - 7:30 p.m. | Sunnyvale Town Hall

Please provide your input as the Town of Sunnyvale develops plans for improvements at Jobson and Samuell Farm North Parks.

The Town will host a public input meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Sunnyvale Town Hall, 127 N. Collins Road. During the meeting, you can learn more about recommendations for these two parks made as part of the 2021 Parks Master Plan and recent public surveys that were completed this summer. Proposed concept plans will be presented, and we would really like your insights for future park development.

Additional sports fields, playgrounds, and trails could be options for future improvements. Watch for additional public input opportunities in mid-December, which will result in a final plan. Construction is expected to begin in mid-to-late 2025.

Adopt a Pet in Time for the Holidays!

Meet Max, a dog that will quickly become your best friend. Max is an adult dog with a heart full of sweetness and a personality that's as friendly as they come. He's got a goofy side that will keep you entertained and a smart mind that's always ready for a challenge. Adopt Max and let him bring joy, laughter, and companionship into your life.

All pets adopted from the Town of Sunnyvale will be vaccinated, dewormed, spayed or neutered and microchipped. If these have not been done yet, the adopter will receive a voucher to have them done. Currently, all fees are waived to adopt any of our pets. Donations are greatly appreciated.

If your family is ready to add a member, we currently have many adoptable animals in our shelter looking for a new place to call home. Learn more by visiting our Petfinder page or calling (214) 862-4525.

Don't Pour Fats, Oils and Grease Down Your Drains!

Thanksgiving is a time for delicious fried turkeys, buttery dishes, and savory gravies, but these tasty treats can wreak havoc on your plumbing. When fats, oils, and grease (FOG) are poured down the drain, they stick to the inside of pipes, gradually hardening and building up until they cause major clogs and sewer backups. This can lead to sewage overflows into homes, streets, and waterways, resulting in costly and inconvenient repairs. Overflowing sewers can also force city crews to shut down streets, causing traffic disruptions and additional expenses for residents and municipalities.

Join the 2024 Holiday Grease Roundup!

Instead of pouring your grease down the drain, participate in the Holiday Grease Roundup and recycle it for free! Visit the Holiday Grease Roundup website to find out how you can properly dispose of fats, oil and grease and defend your drains!
