October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Town of Sunnyvale employees are working together to raise awareness and show support for those affected by breast cancer. One of their key messages is to educate themselves and others about breast health. Regular breast cancer screening can help detect cancer at an early stage when the chances of survival are highest.

While male breast cancer is rare, it's important to remember that breast cancer can affect everyone!

Town staff will wear as much pink as possible on Thursday, Oct. 23, to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Sunnyvale Shines for National Night Out!

Sunnyvale’s public safety departments hosted their annual National Night Out celebration on Oct. 7.

The event featured opportunities for community members to engage with fire, police, and animal services personnel, along with dozens of vendors, a touch-a-truck activity, live music from the band “Extended Play,” and much more. Almost 2,000 people are estimated to have attended the evening’s festivities.
