Barnes Bridge Road Bridge Ready to Reopen

The Barnes Bridge Road bridge is almost ready to reopen. Crews are adding painted stripes, reflective markers and updated signage to reopen the bridge on Nov. 1.

The bridge was closed in 2019 due to severe creek erosion, which undermined segments of the bridge approach slabs and later led to a collapse.

The Town partnered with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) to fund and design the replacement bridge.

Early Voting Continues, Election Day is Tuesday

The Sunnyvale Town Council has called a special election to fill the vacant Place 4 Council seat to be held on the uniform election date, Tuesday, Nov. 4.
