Dear families and friends of St. Joseph Academy,

I’d like to start today by again expressing my condolences to the Consiglio Family and the sudden passing of Bob Consiglio. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, February 5th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast. Visitation will be from 12pm-1pm, with the service taking place at 1pm.

Fathers play such an important role in the family and it breaks my heart to know that one must now work to move forward without him. It’s with fathers in mind that I share this opportunity with our dads from our chaplain, Fr. Mac Hill.
I'm pleased to offer you, dads, an opportunity for a renewed life. A group of men from the Cathedral Parish are embarking on a 90 day journey with Christ for just that, renewal in our lives. The movement is called Exodus90. It's founded on three pillars: prayer, asceticism, and fraternity. As you take a look at the website, you'll see it's challenging, to say the least. But, having gone through the journey before, I promise you it will change your life and help forge you into a stronger Christian man, which is one of the greatest gifts you could give your family. The 90 day journey begins on January 17th and ends on Easter Sunday, April 17th. Take a look at the website:

If you're willing to accept Jesus' invitation to journey with Him and your brothers in the desert for a while, please contact me at to get plugged into a group. I pray you're willing to take the risk and accept the summons.

A few other notes:

-Over the Christmas holiday our business manager Diane Felice accepted a position with another company. We are in the process of interviewing candidates to replace her. In the meantime, I’m working with our Diocesan finance office to ensure smooth operations as we move forward. Any inquiries related to the business office can be directed to me for the time being. Thanks for your patience!

- We are very excited to welcome Dr. Margaret Mart as a permanent math instructor at the Academy. She immediately replaces our long term sub, Katie Cramer. Dr. Mart recently relocated to the area from the Pacific Northwest to be closer to her family. She is looking forward to joining the faculty of a Catholic school faculty again. We feel very blessed to add someone to our staff with over 10 years of teaching experience, a PhD in Educational Leadership, as well Masters Degrees in Mathematics and Curriculum and Instruction.

- March for Life is coming up this weekend here in St. Augustine. Check out the link below for more information.
