Optimist International is seeking convention training session proposals on a wide range of topics, including areas of interest for Club Leaders and individual members.
Topics include:
- Leadership skills
- Fundraising
- Risk management
- Technology (cybersecurity, website development, data protection)
- Communications (content development, social media, media relations)
- Diversity, inclusion, belonging
- The power of optimism, gratitude, positive attitude, etc.
- Wellness and healthy living
- Community engagement and outreach
- Project planning
- Personal development
- Community service
- Self-care
We want our members to leave the convention feeling that they have had an experience unlike any other. The hope is that they return home so motivated having heard from impactful speakers about how gratitude, hope, and kindness are stones on the pathway to optimism and they are ready to go out and share those ideas with others.
Each Proposal should contain the following information:
- Title of training session or project
- Description of session and/or project (150 words or less)
- Presenter’s short bio (150 words or less)
- Three anticipated learning outcomes
- Any A/V requirements
- Maximum number of session participants (if limited)
Proposals are currently being accepted, and the final deadline for submitting proposals is 6 p.m. Central time, March 18, 2024. Final decisions and participant notification will take place on April 2, 2024.
