The Optimist International Oratorical World Championships are a remarkable showcase of young talent held every summer on the campus of Saint Louis University.
Since 1928, the oratorical contest has given students the opportunity to share their views and compete for college scholarships funded by the Optimist International Foundation and Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation. Nearly 2,000 Clubs hold local contests every year, and local winners can ultimately advance to the World Championships.
