"Faith That Feeds"
We believe that faith should feed and nurture our spirits.
We believe also that faith should lead us to feed people
in the many different ways they hunger,
both physically and spiritually.

Hybrid Sunday Worship

Christ the King Sunday

November 24, 2024

Even after Israel had experienced the vagaries of kings, the people still longed for a true king to set things right. He would have the king’s title of Anointed One (Messiah); he would be the “one like a human being” (Son of Man) given dominion in Daniel’s vision. Jesus is given these titles, even though he is nothing like an earthly king. His authority comes from the truth to which he bears witness, and those who recognize the truth voluntarily listen to him. We look forward to the day he is given dominion, knowing his victory will be the nonviolent victory of love.

Eyeglasses & Hearing Aids Collection

Do you have any out of date glasses (spectacles) around that you don't use? How about hearing aids? Don't throw them away. The Lions Club collects them, refurbishes them, and puts them in the hands of people who can use them, but otherwise could not afford them. Don't have a handy Lions Club box to put them in? No problem. Three Crowns Park has one. Just bring them to church and give them to Steve Warner, Jim Miller, or Bert Mount and they will deposit them in the Three Crowns box.

Important Notice

Immanuel has stopped accepting donations (kitchen/housewares, clothing) of all kinds for the migrant community, until further notice. Please spread the word to your family and friends. We thank all of the volunteers both within our congregation and in the greater community who helped to receive, sort, clean and pack the various items which were distributed by our partnership with Chi Welcome and others. Your generosity became expressions of love, support and comfort to a people in need of connection.

Thank you all for your heartfelt support of this important ministry!
