Immanuel Welcomes Patricia Radosavljevic as Our New Organist
We are delighted to announce that Patricia Radosavljevic has accepted Immanuel’s call to serve as our new Organist. Pat's first Sunday with Immanuel will be next Sunday, September 6, 2026.
Patricia comes to Immanuel with decades of experience as a church musician and a deep commitment to music as an expression of worship and proclamation of the Gospel. Most recently, she has served since 1993 at Carter-Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Skokie as organist and director of its Chancel, Children’s and Handbell Choirs. Earlier positions included service as organist at St. Bonaventure in Chicago and as organist and Children’s Choir Director at East Side United Methodist Church.
Patricia earned her Bachelor of Music degree in organ, with an emphasis in church music, from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. She is also an active member of the wider organ community and serves on the board of the North Shore Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
Throughout her ministry, Patricia has demonstrated an ability to bring musicians of different ages and backgrounds into the worship life of a congregation. Among her many activities, she has conducted Handel’s Messiah 25 times, performed and conducted Bach cantatas, developed programs involving children and young musicians, incorporated professional musicians into worship, and helped guide the installation of a 25-rank pipe organ.
That breadth of experience should serve Immanuel particularly well. Our congregation has long understood organ music not simply as an accompaniment to worship, but as an integral part of our proclamation, congregational song and shared prayer.
Patricia will work closely with James Morehead, Director of Music; Laurie Stivers, Associate Organist; and Greg Hummel, Organist Emeritus, as well as Pastor Sloss and the Worship and Music Committee. She joins us at an especially exciting time as Immanuel continues to strengthen its worship and music life while expanding the work of our Organ Scholar Program, Music Outreach Endowment and concert series.
Most important, Patricia describes her vocation simply and beautifully: she is “dedicated to spreading the word of God through music.” We think that commitment will find a very welcoming home at Immanuel.
