Trash pickup schedule to resume next week
Due to last week's landfill closures, Round Rock Refuse remains on a delayed garbage and recycling pickup schedule this week. Residential pickup normally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 9 will be picked up Thursday, Feb. 10; Thursday, Feb. 10 will be picked up Friday, Feb. 11; and Friday, Feb. 11 will be picked up Saturday, Feb. 12.

Nutty Brown owners set lineup for new venue
The owners and operators of iconic Hill Country venue Nutty Brown Amphitheatre have announced the initial concert and event dates for their new venue in Round Rock. The new amphitheater, Round Rock Amp, will feature a wider range of genres beyond the country and rock acts Nutty Brown was known for, with an opening lineup that ranges from food festivals to rap and hip hop. 

Council OKs multi-family housing near downtown
City Council unanimously approved zoning at its Jan. 27 meeting to allow for more multi-family housing near Downtown Round Rock. The proposed development will be the third phase of the City Centre development located north of McNeil Road and east of IH-35.

Tax preparation services available by appointment
The Round Rock Public Library is partnering with Foundation Communities to offer tax preparation services by appointment from Monday, Feb. 14 through Monday, April 18. The Library also has 1040 and 1040-SR forms in English and Spanish for the 2021 tax year.

Celebrate Black History at Round Rock Library
The Round Rock Public Library is hosting several events throughout February to commemorate Black History Month, including trivia, African American genealogy, poetry and a movie night! This event series includes a mix of in person and virtual events.

Round Rock Express National Anthem tryouts
Do you have what it takes to belt out the National Anthem at a Round Rock Express game during the upcoming 2022 season? Central Texas’ best performance groups and individual singers are invited to open auditions from 5 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions.

Virtual Zoom meeting

The Round Rock Public Library and Austin SCORE are offering a series of free Zoom workshops for entrepreneurs and small business owners on Fridays throughout February. SCORE is a nonprofit dedicated to helping small businesses and entrepreneurs start, develop and maintain their businesses. This session will focus on Reference Solutions, the premier online research and reference tool for market segmentation and research, historic sales data, legal forms and demographic information to help you identify potential customers.
