Kingisle headquarters to relocate in Round Rock
Last month, Round Rock City Council approved an economic incentive for the headquarters and engineering studio of KingIsle Entertainment, a video game and digital technology company. The company will employ 150 and invest a minimum of $500,000 in a 33,000-square-foot facility located at 2700 La Frontera Blvd.

Have a crime tip? Submit it via text, app or online
The Round Rock Police Department provides multiple ways to submit a crime tip. To submit a tip via text message, enter phone number 847411, start the message with keyword RRPD, add a space, and then your tip info. You can also download the free “Round Rock PD” app or submit tips online. All tips are anonymous.
Library receives grant to expand services
Round Rock Public Library will soon expand its popular outdoor hold lockers, add two new subscription services and hire a diversity, equity and inclusion consultant as a result of grant funding received from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission under its American Rescue Plan Act Grants Program.

MLK Walk and Celebration *New Location*
The Round Rock Black History Organization, with participation from the Round Rock Independent School District and support from the City of Round Rock, is presenting the 35th annual MLK Walk and Celebration starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15. The celebration includes a commemorative walk beginning at Buck Egger Park followed by a program at Centennial Plaza.

Free vision screening for kids at the Library
The Round Rock Lion’s Club offers quick, free, low-stress vision screening for children ages 6 months and older through Project KidSight from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Round Rock Public Library, 216 E. Main Street. This is a walk-in, come-and-go event. Participating children will receive a coupon for ice cream.

The City of Round Rock will host its final Christmas tree recycling event this Saturday. Small tree seedlings will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis and volunteers will be available to help unload trees. All decorations, nails, wires, ornaments, tree stands, lights and tinsel must be removed before recycling.
