Council OKs master plan for Downtown parks, trails
Round Rock City Council approved the design of a master plan for more park land and trail connectivity in Downtown Round Rock earlier this month. The contract includes design of the Lawn at Brushy Creek, a proposed project situated along Brushy Creek on the north side of Downtown Round Rock.

Round Rock listed as a top place to raise a family
When it comes to finding the best place to live, folks love to love Round Rock, and for good reason. In recently released Niche rankings, Round Rock finds itself near the top of the pack in multiple categories, including best city to live, raise a family, buy a house and receive a public school K-12 education.

Spring Clean Up bulk item pickup scheduled
Got junk? We can help! Round Rock is set to host its annual Spring Cleanup event during the month of April. Do away with old furniture or other bulk items without the hassle and expense of hauling it off. It’s easy and it’s free. Simply place accepted bulk items neatly at the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled Spring Clean-Up Collection Day.

City completes ice storm recovery efforts
The City of Round Rock and its contractors have completed free pickups in every neighborhood in the City limits following last month's winter storm, collecting an estimated total of 437,000 cubic yards of brush from 20,000 homes. The City has resumed normal, year-round options for brush pickup (fee applies) and drop off.

Round Rock wins "Leading the Way" award
ETC Institute awarded the City of Round Rock with its “Leading the Way Award” for its outstanding achievement in the delivery of services to residents. Round Rock ranked in the top 10 percent among similarly sized communities.

Mobility on demand transit service approved
Round Rock is planning to roll out a new on-demand service as part of its overall public transit system following the approval of a contract with a ridesharing company. The change comes following a consolidation of the City's traditional fixed bus routes.

Round Rock's popular Music on Main concert series is back, featuring free live music! Bring a lawn chair or blanket and the entire family. There will be face painting, balloon artists, free parking and more!

Muddy Miler Family Adventure
Saturday, May 6
8-10 a.m.
Old Settlers Park, 3300 Palm Valley Blvd.

The Muddy Miler is a themed adventure run offering the entire family more obstacles, more mud and more fun than your average run event. The event is free for the entire family, but each participant must pre-register.

Irrigation Workshop
Saturday, April 15
9-11 a.m.
Bob Bennett Utilities and Transportation Building, 3400 Sunrise Road

This workshop is a free opportunity for anyone wanting to learn how to reduce water used on irrigation, maintain irrigation systems, use Irrigation Control Boxes and Smart Controllers, irrigation scheduling, repair heads and nozzles and troubleshoot other problems.

The City of Round Rock will host an in-person job fair to provide opportunities for local talent to connect with City Departments to fill critical vacancies and help job seekers find a fulfilling career opportunity. Job seekers will have opportunities to meet face-to-face with hiring managers for dozens of positions including bus driver, systems mechanic, development technician, building plans examiner, project manager, senior planner, facility maintenance technician, animal control officer, treatment plant operator senior and budget manager.
