Dear OLG Families,
Happy second week of Advent! This week our school focused on Peace and we hope you've felt that at home as well. Thanks to Ms. Sager and the entire crew for a return to the Light-up-the-Night festivities. See the WSBlog post here if you weren't able to attend. The tree is glowing every morning and brings great cheer to our dark winter days! This Advent season continues

Watch livestream or last year's Juan Diego & the Beautiful Lady video production by the Student Council and Mr. Casey.
- Our Student-Council-Led Saint Vincent de Paul Food Drive continues (over 750 items collected at this printing... goal of 3,000 by next Thursday).
-
Parish Giving Tree: We still have 26 online tags for $25 gift cards to Target for the rest of the children at Santa Teresita. Sign up online and return the cards to Mass this weekend or to the school by Monday Dec 13.
- Vaccinations - As students receive their second shot, please verify vaccination status with the school office.
-
If unvaccinated or in case of an extended absence, this resource page can be helpful in answering questions as well!
Next week is another full calendar of events as we wrap-up Week 3 of Advent, focused on Joy. The Peace and Joy of the Lord be with you!

Lost and Found
Anything look familiar? Please pick up your lost items by the front desk. Any items not picked up will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul. Please PUT NAMES IN EVERYTHING! We are accumulating quite a pile of lost clothing and accessories! Thank you!
Just a reminder to families as we head into the cold and rainy season...Please send your kids out the door with raincoats, hats, gloves, and appropriate shoes. We will be outside for recess during moderate rain, and staying in-doors only on days that are a heavy rain.

Groovy Glass Ornaments
Shop Local This Christmas
Support OLG and a local Georgetown artist!
Trim your tree with a beautiful hand-blown glass ornament. Produced in limited quantities by local Georgetown artist, Dehanna Jones. As with many local artists, Dehanna, has been hugely impacted by covid and the cancellation of art fairs, her principal revenue stream. She is extremely grateful for the support of the wonderful OLG community.
Purchase yours today for $50 from Shelley or Laura at the front desk. (Cash or check accepted). All profits benefit the Parent Organization.
Your Dollars and Donations can help us to make OLG spell GOLD!
