This 2nd week of Advent we pray for PEACE
Our Lady of Guadlaupe, Pray for Us!
Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

Happy second week of Advent! This week our school focused on Peace and we hope you've felt that at home as well. Thanks to Ms. Sager and the entire crew for a return to the Light-up-the-Night festivities. See the WSBlog post here if you weren't able to attend. The tree is glowing every morning and brings great cheer to our dark winter days! This Advent season continues
  • OLG Feast Day is celebrated tomorrow at an "All-School Mass" and again on the actual day, Dec 12th, Sunday 11am Mass. Our Student Council tells the story each year, this year with live retelling at each Mass. Can't make it live? Watch livestream or last year's Juan Diego & the Beautiful Lady video production by the Student Council and Mr. Casey.
  • Our Student-Council-Led Saint Vincent de Paul Food Drive continues (over 750 items collected at this printing... goal of 3,000 by next Thursday).
  • Parish Giving Tree: We still have 26 online tags for $25 gift cards to Target for the rest of the children at Santa Teresita. Sign up online and return the cards to Mass this weekend or to the school by Monday Dec 13.
  • Vaccinations - As students receive their second shot, please verify vaccination status with the school office.
  • If unvaccinated or in case of an extended absence, this resource page can be helpful in answering questions as well!

Next week is another full calendar of events as we wrap-up Week 3 of Advent, focused on Joy. The Peace and Joy of the Lord be with you!
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Shop Local This Christmas
Support OLG and a local Georgetown artist!

Trim your tree with a beautiful hand-blown glass ornament. Produced in limited quantities by local Georgetown artist, Dehanna Jones. As with many local artists, Dehanna, has been hugely impacted by covid and the cancellation of art fairs, her principal revenue stream. She is extremely grateful for the support of the wonderful OLG community.

Purchase yours today for $50 from Shelley or Laura at the front desk. (Cash or check accepted). All profits benefit the Parent Organization.
