Dear OLG Families,
This Friday (Feb 11th) is a full teacher inservice day where all of our faculty are taking courses on topics with their peers across the Archdiocese. Thank you for your support of this great collaboration day and the conferences that have taken place these last two days!
As we make plans for next school year, please save the date for next Wednesday evening (Feb 16th) for our our State of the School event plus re-registration. If you are not returning next school year, contact the school office as we look to have full enrollment in many of our grades this fall!
No new covid information to share this week, but a reminder that as our school covid numbers and the greater local area numbers are improving, we have moved to the the five-day guidance many have been asking about. Read more about the decision process we use here for new cases. Testing, masking, distancing and more continue to maintain safe in-person learning at our school.
Reminder: Auction Tickets on sale, re-registration, All-School Mass, Day of Service signups... next week has events almost every day! Wed. is our State of the School, and we also have Our All School 9:00am Mass is on Thu, Feb 17th, hosted by our 4th graders. Ask your 4th grade and older child/ren, "Are you interested in being an Altar Server?" Children and adults are invited to attend one of the two upcoming trainings: Tue, Feb 15, 3:15-4:15 pm, or Sat, Feb 19, 4:00-5:00 pm, in the church. This is a great opportunity for families to serve together and it provides great leadership experience for our young people. Contact Helen if interested!
I look forward to seeing every family (live or in hybrid/zoom) on the Wednesday evening, and many of you on other days as well... it's a busy full week ahead!

OUR PARISH’S LISTENING SESSIONS FOR THE SYNOD NEED VOLUNTEERS TO BE FACILITATORS AND/OR NOTETAKERS A "Synod" is, literally, a path that we are on together. The beauty of this listening is that it calls us to come together both in the sharing our stories, and in making a space to listen. We are looking for persons who can support others in small group listening sessions, including recording the highlights from the conversation, which will then be shared with our Pastoral Council and the Archdiocese. A short training will be provided and the time commitment is flexible, depending on the number of small groups you would like to assist. Contact Helen Oesterle, 206-935-0358, or click here if interested. Signups for listening sessions will begin in the next two weeks.
LENTEN BIBLE STUDY Believe it or not, Lent is only a month away! This might be a good time to grow in your understanding of Scripture and deepen your prayer life. There are many options in our parish, including Tuesday evenings beginning March 1st, 6:30-8:00 pm by Zoom, led by Helen Oesterle.
