Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

A school bus? Yep! Kennedy HS hosted our regional Band Festival last night and provided transportation to the festival. A whole host of OLG 5th-8th graders participated and, as usual, gave a great performance led by the incomparable Frances McKamey! Great work musicians... we look forward to your next performance at our May 25th Spring Concert (along with the MS Choir and our 3rd thru 5th grade class performances).

Tonight we welcome new families at our 6:30 pm New Parent Night. Thank you to current parent reps and staff for your assistance in welcoming our new families for next school year! Currently PS and PreK classes are working on waitlists for next year while some availability remains in other grades. Please have interested friends call the school office for more info on enrolling for next school year (and don't forget to have them mention your name for the referral bonus)! We're also looking for some new folks to join our staff as well (A primary grade teacher opening + Development + Parish office positions availlable).

Last week I mentioned a large uptick in Covid cases just as the rest of the world has experienced. Fortunately this week we have only 4 new cases (plus 1 without school contact). We continue to monitor closely and adjust precautions as necessary to continue the best learning environments for all. Thank you for continuing to monitor for symptoms at home and reporting positive test results to school office.

There are many more details below on:
  • Summer Camp deadlines
  • Talent Show deadlines
  • Beer & Brats
  • Spring Concert
  • Loop The Lupe

Note also our Spring MAPS testing runs May 16-June 3rd ... and eat & sleep well and attend on your classes test dates! Teachers will send class specific test dates in their homeroom communications. We look forward to busy AND fun-filled weeks ahead!
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer
