Congratulations to our 2022 Graduates!

Dear OLG Families,
Congratulations to our Class of 2022 graduates! We celebrated this week with our Baccalaureate Mass and graduation on Wednesday and we look forward to hearing there many endeavors in the years to come. This is also a time alumni return to campus, and at graduation we heard from a few of them. One memorable moment for me was when Isabella Wilson (c/o 2015) reminded our newest graduates that as they move into highschool, they will encounter doubt but do not fear this feeling. Instead, see doubt as an opportunity to reflect and examine. A moment of doubt is simply a moment to pause and explore what is the best choice that will echo the gifts and talents that each of them hold.
As we move through our remaining days of school, a reminder that this Friday is our last Friday of the year and our students will be "jumping up" to their next grade teachers. Soon your child will also be bringing home a summer packet to keep the learning moving! One important note on staffing is our 1st grade position is almost completed in the hiring process, and I hope we have news to share very soon (easing any doubts and seeing the match of gifts and talents)!
Through the successful Loop-the-Lupe' and Graduation in these last few days, we're fortunate to report only 1 new case of COVID in our school. Unfortunately, this is in a member of our staff who has possible contact with almost everyone in the school:
As always, we do not reveal individual health data where possible. Thankfully, the staff member has limited symptoms at this time and is working on a quick recovery isolating at home. The last possible contact for most of us was Wednesday, June 8th. We continue to follow the exposure guidelines from King County which state that regardless of vaccination status...
- Continue to attend school
- Monitor for symptoms for 10 days after exposure (for most this is thru June 18th)
- Recommend wearing a high quality, well-fitting mask (N95, KN95, KF94) for 10 days after exposure
Taking a rapid test on day 5 after exposure (that is Monday for most). Other resources and links are below:
If symptoms develop or you have a positive test result, please contact the school office. We are also available for questions/concerns (206) 935-0651.

As we enter the last few days of school, note that next Wednesday we will be celebrating our new incoming leaders in both our student council and 8th grade leadership roles. Special notes and more below and in our school calendar!
Yours in Christ,
Anton Kramer

Afghan Sponsorship
The OLG community will soon begin a formal sponsorship of an Afghan refugee family through the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia’s Refugee Resettlement Office. We have been matched with a young couple with a 3-year-old girl and a baby on the way! If you are interested in volunteering for this effort and/or want to learn more, contact Kathleen
Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl Thank You!
A big thanks to all who participated in the Rice Bowl program this year! As a community we raised over $3300! Thanks to your kindness we have touched the lives of the people served by Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the official international humanitarian assistance program of the Catholic Church. Seventy-five percent of donations goes to CRS’s work in 100+ countries while twenty-five percent stays in Western Washington to help fund local hunger-alleviation efforts (OLG received grants for both the Peace Garden and St. Vincent de Paul).
