Check out our Vision 2025!
Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,
We continue to grow in our service and outreach to the community! Our parish and school's DAY OF SERVICE was quite a success this past weekend, with more than 150 meals + 400 PB&J sandwiches, 110+ cards, 41 rosaries, 75+ homeless kits assembled, and more done with our service partners!!!  Did you miss the Day of Service but still want volunteer opportunities? Sign up for play/bark chips spreading this next week on May 7th or 8th, or if light carpentry is more your style, a new ELC project is available! Deadline for logging volunteer hours is May 31st.
As mentioned last week, our updated Strategic Plan, Vision 2025, is online and helping guide OLG into the future. The Strategic Plan is a broad overview, but here are a couple immediate notes:
-- COVID has significantly changed our learning modalities in the past 14 months, but we have done it safely! Since returning from Easter this year, we have moved almost entirely back to in person with no COVID transmission! Of over 200 families in our school, only 5 continue remote through the rest of this school year due to COVID concerns. With this in mind, the primary model of instruction for the 2021-22 school year will be primarily in person instruction. Families who have a COVID-19 related safety need (i.e. documented medical situation) are asked to set an appointment with me to discuss this change from our current operations. Our teachers and facilities staff are planning now on how this affects our schedule and classroom layouts for the Fall.
-- Key Dates for next school year and more detailed school calendar are set and available on the website.. follow the links below in "important dates"

While classes are full or filling in some grades, we do have openings for more students in our Fall 2021 Kindergarten and 5th Grades, plus limited opening in other grades. We welcome our new families to our community in this next month. We are also saying goodbye to some of our community as our school year ends, including Senora Brodahl. She announced to staff yesterday that she will be joining the St. Joes' community this upcoming school year as their Middle School Spanish teacher. As Senora Brodahl said to staff in her address, "My heart is not leaving OLG, I am taking OLG with me. " As a teacher shared between HolyRosary and OLG, I am working together with the HolyRosary Principal in filling this needed position for both our schools. Please keep in mind the referral you make is the strongest way we grow our community! Thank you for all you do as we journey together "as a sacramental community united and empowered by the Holy Spirit."
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Thank you to our over 210 volunteers who helped to make the 2021 Day of Service’s 12 projects a success! In just a few hours, you made or assembled:

  • 150 meals for the Welcome Table
  • 18 travel systems (baby car seat and stroller) for WestSide Baby
  • 22 no-sew hats and 400 pb&j sandwiches for Union Gospel Mission
  • 4 snuffle mats for Seattle Humane Society
