Loop the Lupe' 2020
Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

Teachers and staff have been working hard through the summer to create and address a robust academic plan for the year for both in person and remote learning. We know we will be starting different than most years. However, we have an amazing team ready to teach in both environments as we are able.

Please join us tonight, at 6:30pm as we look forward to responding to parent concerns and communicating important next steps regarding school re-opening at our Town Hall.

TODAY!
School Reopening Town Hall Meeting

Yours in Christ,

New Auction Family Donation Requirements
We're simplifying the family donation process. Families wishing to facilitate corporate sponsorships or business donations, donate tangible items or experiences, or those experiencing financial hardship are asked to reach out to Development Director Rebecca Arcarese before Sept. 30. All remaining families will automatically be billed their $200 donation via FACTS, with no additional form, item procurement, or item drop-off required!

Online Silent Auction Lead (Volunteer Hours)
We're seeking an Online Silent Auction Lead to manage that portion of our event. This role primarily works to fill in item descriptions, photos, values, etc. within our software system. Additional tasks: reviews items and communicates with the Procurement team if more information on an item is needed. Proofs online look and feel of event through software. Feeds information to leads and social media team to spotlight various items. Answers questions from parents on items as needed. Helps find volunteers to assist in the delivery of items to winning bidders.
Email Yvette for more information or to sign up as a volunteer

Back-to-School Prep
Our school supply list includes what teachers anticipate your child will need for the school year. We understand some of our normal supplies may be more difficult to obtain in these times (anti-bacterial wipes, etc) -- provide as you are able.
While you are shopping for school supplies, save yourself some time and shop for earthquake kit supplies. Each year, you will provide a comfort kit in a one gallon ziplock bag. Some of the items can be re-used each year; some will need to be replenished. Please include the checklist on the 2nd page of the information sheet in each child's kit. Here is visual of what the finished product looks like so we can assure you it will all fit in a one gallon ziplock bag! Please keep your earthquake kits at home until requested.

Chromebooks
Chromebooks will be available to check out from school when your student meets with his/her teacher Sept 1-4th. Indicate your Chromebook requests when you sign up for a time slot. (SignUp will be available next week).

If you haven't turned in updated immunization records, the Washington Immunization System makes it easy to auto-fill information.

Help Distribute Food in our Community
Holy Family Parish will continue to do Food Distribution this August on Saturday, 8/29 (note date change). To help load boxes into vehicles or direct cars, please contact Rachel from Holy Family’s Parent Club. Let her know the date(s) you’re available and which job you prefer. Anyone in need is welcome to come for food on distribution days. The lot opens at 10am but many arrive early.

Adopt-A-Stop: Volunteer needed:
Volunteer to maintain the bus stop near the school by taking out the trash, and putting in a new bag once a week, or every other week, depending on service needs. This is a great way to support our community and Saint Vincent de Paul with transportation bus passes! If you are interested, please click to email Marion Kari or by phone: 206 935-0358, Ext. 113. Thank you for considering this ministry to serve!
