Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

We know that the start of this year will look a little different! OLG is a school of community. We serve each other and our surrounding neighbors. As such, there are so many opportunities to volunteer, even while staying COVID safe! Volunteering is also a great way to meet other OLG families!
Thanks to Paul and Marnie for your fun encouragement for volunteer hours.
Our OLG teachers and staff have been working very hard this week getting things ready for our opening (see more orientation/opening info on our website here). Last night our Early Learning Center laid-out plans in a parent zoom for their opening in-person and other options. The rest of our teachers made sure their class webpages were all up-to-date last night by 6:30pm so you can be prepared to meet everyone at Sept 1-4th orientation days! To maintain privacy, many teachers are sending direct links to you by email to try out and get familiar with before meeting the teacher in person.

OLG Fall Day Camp details are getting finalized and all those who've previously expressed interest have been sent more details and final planning input form. If you were interested and did not receive a "Day Camp" email from me (sent earlier this afternoon), please contact Laura Joe or Heather Owens. Space is limited but we are striving to serve as many in our OLG community as possible in this special program.

My "Virtual Office Hours" (MWF @ 2pm) are extended in the school calendar through these next two weeks, and I look forward to seeing many of you in person (safely distanced and masked) next week!
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Get ready to GET ACTIVE by participating in this year’s first fun-filled event, the Jog-A-Thon!
Jog-A-Thon is our school’s second biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from the event go to support all the great things that happen here at OLG. We were unable to hold this event in the Spring, so we
need to have 100% participation from all students.
The Fall Jog-A-Thon will be held virtually! Here’s what that looks like. Between the dates of September 1st and 25th at a time that works best for your family, we’re asking students to get out and be active for 60 minutes. Any fun activity that gets their bodies moving counts! Shoot hoops, play hopscotch, jog around the block, throw the frisbee, take your four-legged friend for a walk… you get the idea.
Be sure to take pictures or video of the activity and send it in to us at the Google Drive Folder link on Jogathon website.
Videos and pictures to be included in our wrap up video and considered for prizes.

Because the event looks a little different this year, we’re asking families to reach out to friends, family and neighbors for donations instead of pledges. If each student can raise $150 in donations, we can hit our GOAL!
Donations can be made easily online and are 100% tax deductible.
Stay tuned for the donation link and information on prizes!
Hello all OLG Bulldogs!
There are a few COVID-related Fall season decisions that we thought we would keep you posted on. Right now, K-8th soccer has been delayed by three weeks, at a minimum. As of September 1st we will know if K-3rd grade soccer will be moved back to Spring season (and if 4-8 will be cancelled for the year). CYO is looking into the possibility of a virtual Cross Country season this fall, but still working on the details. The Adult League Volleyball season was canceled (we will need to be at stage 4 prior to indoor sports taking place).

We will be sure to post decisions as they come up. CYO decisions are made at the Archdiocese level and will mirror many of the school announcements. Thanks for bearing with us as we deal with sports in a time of COVID. Rest assured that CYO will do its best to have organized team activities as soon as we are allowed.
