Dear OLG Families,
Gaudete = Joy! Our week began with our
Advent Season candle of "JOY" shining bright, and much joy and energy was present all week long. With the wind and the rain this week we had more joyful indoor recesses than normal, but we also had a roaring-good time at our sing-a-long this Wednesday. Thank you Band, Ms. McKamey, Choirs (Mrs. Milanese and Mrs. Sager), and our Grinch (Brian Callahan) for sharing your amazing talents!
We've also shared many gifts in our Saint Vincent de Paul food & dollar drive. At the beginning of this week we were only about 60% towards our goal, and on Wednesday we were still 700 items short. But by yesterday we had surpassed last year's count and today I can announce we are
over our goal of 2,500 items/dollars!!! Thank you to Mrs. Hobbs, our Student Council leadership, and all of you for helping our neighbors and community stronger by filling our SVdP cabinets for all those in need! Thank you so much!!!
As we wrap-up our week, please remember to check lost and found one more time before it is donated to the needy, today is a half-day for students (EDC available), and our school office will be closed from 2pm 12/21 thru Monday Jan 7th when we begin again in the New year.
Pause, be still, and enjoy your family time this Christmas break.
Here is the last of our family advent reflections to help you with a prayerful pause focused on the fourth Advent candle,
LOVE. Join in other
advent events providing a connection with our greater OLG community. In this season of
light, let us continue to
grow together in Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love!
