Monday's all-school prayer
Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

Happy Advent! We began this week with our weekly school-wide Advent celebrations... times and moments for giving and sharing thanks together. This week we focus on Hope. And there is much to hope for as we enter into this preparation season of Advent. Our school-wide Advent services continue next week on Monday, with special Guadalupe Pageant on Friday (both at 9am).

Thank you for all who engaged with us on social media and donated online for Giving Tuesday! As we move towards the end of 2020 we will share more year-end giving opportunities. We are thankful to our OLG community that has been so incredibly faithful in 2020. If you have any pictures or videos of why you love OLG you can always email them to [email protected]. Thank you for helping us unleash generosity by spreading the hope and love of OLG!

This Friday, Dec 4th, I look forward to joining our greater community in the hope that is shared every Christmas with our Light up the Night celebrations that kick-off the Advent season in our community. Thank you Yen and all who helped make this event special this year, even in virtual format. Thank to our Student Council and SVdP for continuing our long traditions of our December Food Drive. Please remember to drop-off a donation and pickup the treat the PO has prepared and put on your own lights this evening at 7pm! Thanks for doing everything in to keep you, your family, and our whole community safe.
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Empathy: A Parenting Tool
During social-emotional learning (SEL) this fall, I have been teaching students about empathy in the preschool through fifth grade classes. Middle school students will be learning about this as we go through the unit about bullying prevention in the winter. You can read more about what I’m teaching students about empathy on the SEL class pages for each grade level. I thought it may be helpful to explain a bit about empathy for OLG parents, too...Continue Reading

2021 Annual OLG Auction- Full Steam Ahead!

We're officially going virtual – let's celebrate with glassybaby!

We're excited to announce OLG's annual Auction – our largest fundraiser of the year – is officially going virtual for the first time in school history!

While we're all for taking a moment to mourn the (temporary) loss of dressing up in uncomfortable clothes and packing the gym for an evening of  drinking.. . enjoying adult beverages responsibly.... and bidding up a storm to support our beloved school, a virtual format offers many fundraising advantages. We're excited to show you what we've been working on.

To celebrate our decision to go virtual, the Auction Committee is extending an invitation to school parents and teachers to reserve a custom OLG glassybaby! Reserve your "Midnight" votive or rocker (rocks glass) or "Splash" drinker (stemless wine glass) – all custom-etched with OLG's official school logo – here. Cost is $100, but you don't pay until Auction night, March 6. Some 40 percent of each purchase goes directly toward our fundraising goal of $125,000.

Reserve your custom-etched glassybaby votive, drinker, and/or rocker here.

Questions? E-mail Auction Chair Hilary Reeves or OLG Development Director Rebecca Arcarese.
