Welcome back!
Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

Big news this week as we begin our Lenten Journey and come nearer to the end of Trimester 2... Our K-5 classes have successfully been in-person, with hybrid options rounding into fullness, and our Middle School is now announcing its full return on March 8th (the beginning of Trimester3). Middle School families will receive more direct communication from their homeroom teachers regarding some specifics, but there is more information below on hybrid and continuing school policies.

Note that many families in K-5 who have middle school siblings or have elected to remain remote will also be contacted in the coming week to verify any changes in their plans coming March 8th.

Our families and staff have been doing a great job with ensuring the safety of all through limiting travel, taking the necessary quarantine days, and monitoring health signs daily. Thank you especially to our staff who have limited their interactions outside of school in order to provide the best education opportunities as possible. They are super dedicated to being present as much as humanly possible, and then some, as substitute teachers and other class coverage is extremely difficult to come by. Thank you all for keeping our community safe and healthy.

Speaking of community, here are three ways to be connected both locally and in a view of statewide issues:

And one final note, we are entering into Enrollment season for next school year, which also means we are entering into the season of changes. Our own re-enrollment process begins next Wednesday with our State of the School evening event (6:30pm 2/24). New students information is below. Our staff also has changes each year, and this year our veteran of 4th Grade, Mrs. Wilson, is making a life change with her family move out of the area. Mrs. Wilson has been with our school for some 14+ years, and has been a strong advocate for learners throughout her career. She is announcing this move early so as to give us all quality time to find the best replacement for next school year. Mrs. Wilson is excited to finsih this year strong with her current 4th graders and we will celebrate her further as the school year comes to a close. Please pray for her and her family, and all those who are about to embark on new adventures this June.

Note, I continue to hold open my M/W/F 2pm "Office Hour" (also listed on the school calendar) for further communication connections.
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Band News (Grades 5-8)
During these unique months of Covid, the band program feels somewhat like the early Church underground.  What is incredible is like the faithful, the band is still thriving!  Dedicated musicians throughout the schools are challenging themselves, exploring Music History and expanding their knowledge of this special gift called Music!  Special salute to our young fifth graders that have that sincere desire to learn, despite it all!  I am humbled by the band members commitment!  HOPE!  The light is slowly piercing through!

The Cambronero Music Scholarship will be again offered to 8th graders coming to Kennedy Catholic High School and are currently enrolled in their school’s band program.  Audition details will be forthcoming!
